Ox Blood Red leather wing chair with loose seat, vertical rolled flared arms, brass nailhead trim, mahogany frame with saber form back legs and carved ball and claw front feet
English circa 1900 [1. The feet of this chair show the mingling of different furniture styles which was common at the turn of the 20th century. The saber form back legs are typical of Regency style furniture, while the ball and claw feet reflect earlier Georgian influences.

The color of this chair, Ox Blood Red, was popular choice for leather furniture from Victorian times and the turn of the century. This deep rich red was associated with luxury, sophistication and used often in the traditional gentlemen's clubs of the era.

The loose seat is likely a later addition makes this a very comfortable sitting chair. ]
