Description
An extraordinary Ottoman Empire table box/table cabinet with extravagant mother-of-pearl inlay of various forms, complemented by tendrils of flowing silver inlay within mother-of-pearl shell borders, upon a hardwood body. A drop down front revealing five interior drawers with similiar decoration, the inside of each drawer lined with paper. The box rests upon four turned ebony feet. Working lock and key. Made in India for the English market, circa 1900.
