Description
A notable mid-19th century Continental three-drawer commode in rich mahogany with distinctive brass mounts. The top elegantly framed by brass edging; each drawer detailed with raised brass moulding and cast pulls featuring Neoclassical motifs. The chest is a good representation of Neoclassical Revivalism with straight lines and classical motifs, evoking a sense of austere elegance, circa 1860.
