Description
Nineteenth-century Anglo-Indian stag horn box and solid sandalwood body. Double-tiered pagoda form top centered by carved horn finial. Bombe form case with vertical striated decoration. Black trim throughout. The interior likely served as a tea caddy; now vacant divided into three compartments. Inset decorative border to lid. Brass lock plate with working key. Carved horn ball feet. India, circa 1860
