Description
An exceptionally large and good quality 19th century, Anglo-Indian solid teak chest / trunk with decorative iron strapping, hinges, clasp, and handles on either end; raised on square feet; the apron adorned with carved meandering branch & foliate motif, circa 1860. Originally from India, and typical of Rajasthan furniture of the British Colonial period; original ironwork.
