Description
18th Century walnut marquetry box with contrasting dark and light diagonal inlay. Each of the sides including the top having inlaid square walnut panels. Each of these 8 burr walnut side panels are framed with either fruitwood or coramandle. The two panels on the back of the box are separated by a checkered pattern of cherry and maple. Original key and working lock. Repapered insides. ca. 1790, restorations, French polish.
